Meet the Team
Over the last five or six years we have seen a lot of changes in publishing, e-books are now as much the norm as paperbacks and for many a replacement for them. Self-publishing is no longer considered ‘vanity publishing’ and readers expect the same quality from self-published books as they do from traditionally published books and we don’t see any reason why that can’t be provided. As reviewers it soon became clear that many indie books, while often very good, lacked that extra sparkle that professional editing provides. Deciding that was what we wanted to do, we set about learning how, that was three years ago.
Well Hollie is British, so she often does things slightly different to everyone else, like putting ‘u’ in words for no good reason. But we accept her unique ways for photos of the beautiful, ancient walled (and haunted) city of York She has a BA in Media from York St John University, with a specialisation in romance readers and what they want from their books. While keeping house and caring for her Smurf and Smurflets.
Kim is studying for her BA in English and women’s studies, while writing contemporary and paranormal romance in Michigan’s UP, she’s tried other places but home is where the heart is, and she has dragons (she won’t share) hidden up there, but we do get the odd photo. Kim is also on the Smurf carer register and is guardian to a number of furbabies.
The Smurfs ~
While adorable, they are also very fussy about their reading material. Both the Smurfs have an engineering background which means they are used to working with precise rules and the precision of top quality products. Anything they put their names on has to have the same excellent quality they are used to. Please do not ask for a Smurf test if you are not willing to accept a brutally honest opinion of your work, they are male, they don’t do tact or diplomacy, they are blunt and very, very honest. Or should that be honest and very, very blunt?
